The PM E-DRIVE (Prime Minister’s Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement) scheme, launched by the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI), Government of India, has a total outlay of ₹10,900 crore, including ₹2,000 crore dedicated to setting up Public EV Charging Stations across the country.
The scheme aims to accelerate electric vehicle (EV) adoption by developing a strong network of Public Charging Stations (PCS).
Kerala State Electricity Board Limited (KSEBL) serves as the Nodal Agency for implementing the PM E-DRIVE scheme in the state and is responsible for aggregating the demand for EV Public Charging Stations (EV PCS) and submitting proposals to MHI for subsidy consideration.
